Frequently Asked Questions
NinjaBot-AI is automated strategy software and educational material built for traders who already use NinjaTrader. This page answers the questions we get most. For anything involving performance figures, backtests, or risk, see the full Risk & Earnings Disclaimer — the short version of that disclaimer is repeated throughout this page wherever it's relevant.
What NinjaBot-AI Is (and Isn't)
What exactly is NinjaBot-AI?
NinjaBot-AI is a licensed software add-on for the NinjaTrader platform. It packages a set of pre-built, rules-based strategy modules that you install and run on your own NinjaTrader installation, connected to your own brokerage or evaluation account. You choose which modules to enable, how to configure them, and when to turn them on or off. NinjaBot-AI does not place a single trade without the software being active on your machine and your account being connected by you.
Alongside the software, we publish educational material (setup guides, configuration walkthroughs, and a capital-management course available on higher tiers) that explains how the strategies work and how traders generally think about position sizing. That material is general education, not instructions tailored to your account, your balance, or your personal financial situation.
Is NinjaBot-AI a broker, advisor, or managed trading service?
No. BAA Group, the company behind NinjaBot-AI, is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, futures commission merchant, or commodity trading advisor, and nothing on this site or inside the software should be read as personalized investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any specific contract. We sell a standardized software license and standardized educational content, identical for every customer. We never place trades on your behalf, never take discretionary control of your account, and never have access to your trading capital.
Does NinjaBot-AI offer trading signals I should follow?
No. NinjaBot-AI is not a signal service. The strategy modules run inside your own NinjaTrader instance and act according to the rules you've configured, on the account you connected — there is no outside party sending you alerts to manually act on, and no human on our end deciding what you should do next. You are the only person with control over whether the software runs, which modules are active, and when it's switched off.
Can NinjaBot-AI help me pass a funded-account or prop-firm evaluation?
No, and we want to be direct about this: no software can guarantee passing a funded-account evaluation, and we don't claim otherwise. NinjaBot-AI is execution software. If you already hold an evaluation or funded account with a supported firm, the software can run on that account the same way it runs on any other — but passing or failing an evaluation depends on that firm's own rules, your configuration choices, and market conditions, none of which we control or can predict. We don't sell an evaluation-pass product, and we don't bundle one.
Who holds my funds or has access to my trading account?
We never do. Your capital stays with your broker or evaluation firm at all times. NinjaBot-AI installs locally inside your own NinjaTrader platform and connects only to the account you choose to connect it to. We don't custody funds, we don't have standing access to move money, and we don't have the ability to open or close positions on your account from our side — every order the software places runs through your own connected account, under settings you control.
Does NinjaBot-AI guarantee any trading outcome?
No. Futures trading carries substantial risk and isn't appropriate for everyone — you can lose some, all, or more than your initial investment. Any strategy performance figures we publish (backtested or otherwise) are hypothetical and simulated unless explicitly labeled as live results, and simulated results have known limitations: they're built with the benefit of hindsight and may not reflect real-world factors like liquidity and slippage. Past and hypothetical performance is never a reliable indicator of future results. Full detail lives on the Risk & Earnings Disclaimer page.
Setup Requirements
What do I need before I can use NinjaBot-AI?
Three things: (1) an active NinjaTrader installation, (2) a brokerage or evaluation account already connected to that NinjaTrader installation, and (3) an active NinjaBot-AI license. The software installs as an add-on inside NinjaTrader itself — it doesn't open accounts for you, fund anything, or require a separate trading terminal.
Which version of NinjaTrader do I need?
NinjaBot-AI is built for current releases of NinjaTrader 8. If you're running an older version, you'll need to update NinjaTrader first — our setup guide walks through that step before installing any strategy module.
How long does setup take?
Most customers are fully installed and running their first strategy module within 20 to 30 minutes, following the step-by-step guide in your account dashboard. Quarterly and Annual plans include a scheduled 1:1 onboarding call if you'd rather walk through configuration live rather than solo — that call covers installation and settings only, not personalized trading recommendations.
Can I run it on more than one account?
License terms, seat limits, and multi-account rules are spelled out in full in our Software License & Acceptable Use Policy. Check that page before connecting the software to more than one account, since limits vary by plan.
Payment Methods
What payment methods are accepted?
Checkout runs through Shopify's standard payment processing. Accepted methods are shown at checkout and typically include major credit and debit cards; availability can vary slightly by region.
How does billing work for the Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual plans?
Each of these is a recurring subscription billed automatically at the cadence you choose — every month, every three months, or once a year — for as long as the subscription stays active. Your license and access stay tied to that subscription; if a renewal payment fails, you'll get a notice and a window to update your payment details before access is paused.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual subscriptions can be canceled from your account dashboard at any time, with no long-term contract. Cancellation stops future billing; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how cancellation timing interacts with your current billing period and license access.
What about the Lifetime/Enterprise tier?
The Lifetime/Enterprise tier isn't sold through standard checkout because the price is quoted individually. Reach out through our Contact page, our team follows up to confirm scope and final price, and the purchase is then invoiced and processed as a one-time payment — still through the same secure payment processing used at checkout, just confirmed with you directly before any charge is made.
How Support Works
How do I get help if I run into an issue?
Start with this FAQ and the setup guide in your account dashboard — most installation and configuration questions are answered there. If you need more help, every plan includes access to email/ticket support through our Contact / Support page.
What are support response times?
Standard support (Starter/Monthly tier) runs on a standard ticket queue. Quarterly and Annual plans get priority queue placement, meaning your ticket is reviewed ahead of the standard queue. We don't promise a specific guaranteed response time here because it can vary with ticket volume — your account dashboard shows current expected response windows.
Do higher tiers get faster support?
Yes, by queue priority: Annual gets the highest standard-tier priority, Quarterly gets priority ahead of Monthly, and Lifetime/Enterprise customers get a dedicated point of contact for setup-related sessions. All support, at every tier, covers software installation, configuration, and technical troubleshooting — not personalized trading or investment advice.
Is there a community?
Yes. Active subscribers get access to a private user community focused on software setup, configuration, and general usage topics. It isn't a venue for signal-sharing or discretionary trade calls, and nothing posted there by other users or staff should be treated as individualized advice.
Platform & Market Compatibility
Which platforms does NinjaBot-AI work with?
NinjaBot-AI is execution software built for NinjaTrader. If you already hold an account with one of the following, the software can run on that connected account the same way it runs on any standard brokerage account: Apex, Bulenox, Take Profit Trader, Lucid Trading, and My Funded Futures. Full details are on our Compatible Platforms page.
Two things worth being precise about: first, this is a compatibility list, not a partnership — NinjaBot-AI is independent of and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NinjaTrader, Apex, Bulenox, Take Profit Trader, Lucid Trading, My Funded Futures, or any other company named here. Second, "compatible" means the software can execute on an account you already have open there — it says nothing about whether you'll meet that firm's evaluation rules, drawdown limits, or payout requirements, which are set entirely by that firm and outside our control.
Does working with a funded-account firm mean NinjaBot-AI helps me pass their evaluation?
No. Compatibility means the execution software can technically run on an account hosted by that firm, nothing more. We don't have any special arrangement with these firms, we don't know their internal evaluation criteria any better than you do, and we make no claim, implied or otherwise, about evaluation outcomes. If you're on an evaluation account, you're responsible for understanding that firm's own rules before enabling any strategy module.
Which markets can I run the strategies on?
The strategy modules — Horizon, Surge, Flux, Vector, Pulse, and Nexus — are built for futures markets traded through NinjaTrader. Specific contract compatibility and recommended configurations for each strategy module are listed on the Strategies page, alongside the required hypothetical-performance disclaimer for any backtest figures shown there. See also our Results page for how we evaluate module performance.
Is NinjaBot-AI endorsed by NinjaTrader or any funded-account firm?
No. NinjaTrader®, Apex, Bulenox, Take Profit Trader, Lucid Trading, and My Funded Futures are trademarks of their respective owners. NinjaBot-AI is an independent, third-party software product built to run on top of the NinjaTrader platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the companies named on this page.
Experience Level
Do I need trading experience to use NinjaBot-AI?
You don't need prior algorithmic-trading experience to install and configure the software — the setup guide and onboarding materials are written for traders new to automation. That said, NinjaBot-AI is a tool, not a substitute for understanding futures markets, your own risk tolerance, or the rules of the account you're running it on. We'd encourage anyone unfamiliar with futures trading generally to study that first, independent of our setup material.
Will you tell me when to turn strategies on or off for my account?
No — that decision is always yours. We don't monitor individual customer accounts, we don't send account-specific instructions, and we don't advise individual customers on whether current conditions suit a given strategy module. Educational content (including the capital-management course on the Annual tier) covers general concepts, not personalized direction.
Where can I learn more before buying?
The How It Works page walks through installation and day-to-day use end to end, the Strategies page breaks down each module, and the Risk & Earnings Disclaimer page covers everything related to performance claims and futures risk. If you still have questions after reading those, our Contact / Support page is the fastest way to reach us.
NinjaBot-AI is automated strategy software and educational material for NinjaTrader. Nothing on this page is investment, financial, or trading advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security, commodity, or contract. Futures trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor; you can lose some, all, or more than your initial investment. Past and hypothetical performance are not indicative of future results. Full disclosures: Risk & Earnings Disclaimer.
